Lord If I Make it to Heaven Lyrics
Lord prepare me no mansion
If a mansion is what you had in mind
Lord there's but one thing I'm asking
When you lift up this spirit of mine
Lord can I keep this same woman
I’ve loved here on earth for so long
Lord if I make it to heaven
Can I bring my own angle along
Lord the gateway is narrow
Like the eye of a needle I'm told
Lord if I squeeze through that passage
It'll be by the skin of my soul
Lord she's my one right decision
And the one thing I didn't do wrong
Lord if I make it to heaven
Can I bring my own angle along
Lord she's my strength and my wisdom
And the reason I keep going on
Lord if I make it to heaven
Can I bring my own angle along
Lord if I make it to heaven
Can I bring my own angle along
